Morning service

"Pastor's Report: Israel Educational Tour"

How do you distill a nine day trip of so many experiences into a half-hour report to your church? That is the challenge I face today! Rest assured that I do not intend to give you all nine courses of his spiritual meal I feasted on from March 16-26th! I will tell you though that I’m sure that what I have experienced will impact my ministry of proclamation and education for the rest of my days.

Evening service

"The Samaritan Road"
Luke 9:57-62; 14:25-27

I'm reminded of a cartoon of my favorite preacher (created: Doug Marlette's Kudzu), Rev. Will B. Dunn. Brother Dunn had just preached his message and he was standing with arms folded over his Bible in hand at the door after the services when this rather large, complaining woman came up to him. He's standing with this bewildered look on his face as she says, "What no tanning salon?! Nojuice bar, no food court, no fitness center! No jacuzzi, no sauna... no skating rink! And you call yourself a house of worship!"
