Our church has not used the method of commitment cards in promoting stewardship although there is nothing wrong with this approach. We do discuss "stewardship" and in particular, we preach about the need to recognize that all of life is to be lived under the Lordship of Christ. Did you hear about the pastor who promised a nervous church member that he would be in the recovery room after the man came out of surgery?
