Females are full throttle involved in competitive auto racing today. The Indianapolis 500 featured three women drivers this year: Milka Dano, Sarah Fisher and Danica Patrick. Twenty-seven year-old and native Illinoisan Patrick (Roscoe, IL. Born: 3-25-82) came in third at Indy on May 24th with a pole qualifying speed of over 222 miles per hour. Danica Patrick’s finish was the highest by a woman in the event’s history.
