Morning service

“Mothers, Bless You!”
Proverbs 30:11; 31:25-31

A mother of five children wrote these things in her private journal one time during an especially stressful period: “...things have not been going smoothly. There is a terrible amount of fighting among the children, ugliness and back talk from Gigi, and peevishness on my part backed by sporadic uncertain discipline... I don’t look well to the ways of my household.”

How would you feel if I told you those were the words of the late Ruth Bell Graham, Mrs. Billy Graham, the mother of Franklin Graham and Ann Graham-Lotz? These confessions of inadequacy were written in Mrs. Graham’s book, Blessings for a Mother’s Day. What mother has not experienced those feelings?
