"The God Beyond Our gods"
Isaiah 40:25-31

You could say that God gets blamed for a lot of stuff! There’s a lot of craziness and hair-brained notions circulating in this culture about God. Some of this weirdness hurts in times of grief and sorrow. When William Barclay’s daughter drowned years ago, Dr. Barclay received this cold response from a pastor no less, “Now, you see the judgment of God upon your liberal theology.” Wisely, Barclay challenged this craziness by writing back, “My dear misguided brother, your God is my devil.”
